Frequently Asked Questions

Is my WBUT degree still valid after renaming?

Yes, WBUT degrees remain fully valid. The university simply changed names to MAKAUT. No re-issuance of certificates is required.

Should I write WBUT or MAKAUT on my resume?

Use what's on your degree certificate. If it says WBUT, use that. You can add '(now MAKAUT)' in brackets for clarity if applying after 2015.

Does the formula change between WBUT and MAKAUT batches?

No, the formula (CGPA − 0.75) × 10 is the same for all batches regardless of whether they graduated under the WBUT or MAKAUT name.
